Trailer Park Gods

Faultline Theatre, San Francisco, May 2015                   Nominee: 2015 Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award

When I contacted a new theater company, Faultline, about working with them to produce new and exciting work in SF, I didn't expect they'd offer me the very first show of their first full season. A retelling of the classical myth of the abduction of Persephone by Hades into the Underworld, set in a trailer park in modern-day California's drought-stricken central valley. I was very familiar with the myth, and loved the idea of reworking the style for the trailer park, a setting with which I am far too familiar.
